Technical felt

Pressed Wool Felt is a textile structure composed of fibers physically interlocked and consolidated by the utilization of mechanical work, chemical action and moisture without the use of weaving, knitting, stitching, thermal bonding or adhesives. Pressed Wool Felt commonly known in commercial parlance as “Technical Felt” is available in sheet and roll form in various qualities, thickness and density.

Technical Felt is used in many industries. Felts find their application in hats, berets, shoes, various polishing wheels, gaskets, washers, carpet and acoustic insulation, as well as veneer hammer keyboards for pianos. As far as sealing process is concerned, the felt is used for making pads and gaskets which serve as shock or vibration isolating fillings. Molded felt, on the other hand, which is saturated with lubricants serve as elements for greases and oils.

Technical Felt is available in bale form and in the form of plates with dimensions of 1000 x 1000.

Polishing felt is used for finishing, which aim is to achieve the desired smoothness and gloss polished surface of the object made mostly of metal, glass or plastic. Available in different sizes and profiles.
